August 28 Wine and Dinner Cruise
Ten corvettes holding 16 people embarked on a trip that started at Center Town Hall and traveled first to Shakin Rock Winery, for flights and glasses of local wine. We then got back on the road and followed leader Jerry Parado on a trip to Waupaca's Doc Kelly's for a bite to eat. Doc Kelly's is a hidden secret you need to check out if you have never been there before! The weather was beautiful, the scenery great, the wine tasty, and the food delicious. Thanks to Jerry Parado for planning the trip and for all who attended on such short notice.

August 19 Club Breakfast
Twenty club members enjoyed a great breakfast at the Weathervane restaurant. We had our own private room which was greatly appreciated. Valerie and I want to thank the Weathervane for great food and service provided by the staff. Special thanks to all who attended.

August 15 Cruise to Rawhide 60th Anniversary for Car Show/Fish Fry
Members left the Town of Center with nine cars. We drove on country roads and in approximately 45 minutes arrived at the Rawhide grounds. The Rawhide crew was waiting and we parked together. Lined up our cars plus two more members met us there.The weather was warm and the Rawhide Crew gave water out. Many visitors enjoyed the new air-conditioned Rawhide Museum and viewed the many cars at the show.
Later we went to eat in the Rawhide Restaurant for a fish dinner which is always good. The students took our orders and served us our dinners. After the meal, some of the members went to hear the Spicy Tie Band. They played for most of the afternoon. It was a wonderful time for the 17 Valley Vettes members to get together and to also, help support the Rawhide Organization.

August 14 Club Picnic Meeting
Thirty six members enjoyed a great day with conversation and food. Quests Tom from MN & his nephew Zach from Appleton. Saw the website & decided to attend at 7:10. Tom is 80 years old & Zach just turned 21. Came in a C1 1959

July 23 Lunch Trip
Arrived at Damn Yankees Watering 1:00pm in Hortonville.
Ten members and 1 guess attended.
Damn Yankees was very accommodating; like all events prior to this one.
I would also like to say a Big Thank You to all members who attended that day!
Camaraderie like always was delightful and the weather was nice.

July 17 Cruise Night at Ardy and Ed's
On a nice sunny afternoon, nine cars left the Riverside Park in Neenah for a cruise to Ardy and Ed's drive-in in Oshkosh. We were able to get preferred parking right along side the diner on the street. Lots of conversation, great food and service. Also we viewed avariety of other classic cars. Thanks to those of you that made the ride with me.

July 13 American Legion Fremont car Show
The annual fund raiser for the American Legion was a great success. The car show was well attended. The 50/50 paid $610 to one lucky person and the same given to the American Legion. Eight club cars met at Meister Motors and cruised to Fremont, where 6 more cars joined the show. Special thanks to Ron Seibel and the entire car show group for making the day a success.

July 3 Ice Cream Run
What a great day for an Ice Cream run. Had eight cars and lots of sunshine. We headed North and East with light traffic on the back roads, finding some nice curves and straight aways......to have a little fun. Stopped at Scotts Subs for Ice cream and good conversation with all. Thanks to all that came on the ride.

June 28 Huckleberry Campground Car Show
It was a nice summer day as 12 Vettes were on display from Noon until 3:00pm. The campers and others enjoyed viewing and asking questions about our cars. Questions were answered, stories were told, we enjoyed lunch and good conversation. Thanks to all who made the show a success!

June 14 Appleton Flag Day Parade
The 74th annual Appleton Flag Day Parade was blessed with great weather.
This year marked the 41st year the club has participated in the parade. The parade
got off to a rough start for us as Dick Rank’s car failed to run when the parade started,
so we ended up with 9 cars in the parade. The crowd was estimated to be over 50,000 people
and let us know how much they appreciated the corvettes. The branch of the military honored
this year was United States Marine Corps and Navy. After the parade, we cruised over to
Mark’s East Side Supper Club for some great food and socializing. We would like to say a
“BIG THANK YOU” to all the club members who participated in making this a great event.
We also want to thank Mark’s East Side for providing great food and service.
