December 14 Christmas Party
The Christmas Party was held Saturday at Van Abel’s in Holland Town.
Forty five members pre paid and 42 showed up for the party. Our room was tastefully decorated for Christmas and the service was great.
I would like to thank Susan Meyer and Lyn Kaphingst for handling the silent auction. The benefactor was the Wisconsin Veterans Village in the amount of $765.00. The club banner was a live auction item and brought $205.00.
The banner was purchased by Marty and Terry Lee Garofalo. The $205.00 will be applied to next years banner.
Terry Lee Garofalo out did herself by creating 8 beautiful centerpieces which were door prizes. Terry Lee also made the cute table favors for each member.
Lynn and Gary Kaphingst lead the entertainment which was Christmas bingo. Gift cards were the winners reward.
The next two years have been booked for the Christmas party. December 18, 2025 and December 17, 2026. We moved to a Thursday night to be able to keep the party at Van Abel’s.

November 21 Impromptu Breakfast
Angels Restaurant was the location for twelve members who braved the first snow of the year. We found most of the roads were already clear when we were ready to leave the restaurant. Good food, attentive service, and great camaraderie was enjoyed by all. Hosted by Susan Meyer
October 17 3 Brothers Family Restaurant
We had 23 Corvette members come to breakfast. The owner and staff set up tables and provided great service and allowed us all the time we wanted to eat and visit. Thanks to all who were able to come. Pictures submitted by Diane and Jerry Blessings.

October 6 Fall Dinner Cruise.
On a partly sunny rather blustery afternoon, twenty one Vettes left the Darboy Plaza for a one hour cruise that featured passing through Wrightstown and running up along the river. We then doubling back and rolled through Wrightstown again. We ended up at the Out-O-Town supper club outside of Kaukauna and 40 members enjoyed socializing and good food. Thanks to all who made the ride with me. Your participation in my cruises are always much appreciated!

September 4 Appleton East Homecoming Parade
The event marked fourth years of participation in East High School’s Homecoming Parade. We had 18 Corvettes arrive at the East Target parking lot. We departed at 4:30pm and traveled North on John St, dropping off our navigators at JD’s Drive-In as we have done many times in the past. Lining up at Meade Pool, we acquired our Homecoming Court passengers and promptly at 5:30pm. We then departed for the High School down John St, to Emmers Dr, where we entered the parking lot to drop off our passengers. Of note, was the Senior Student leading our cars carrying a banner commemorating our participation in this event. As usual, the streets were lined with spectators cheering for the court and the parade participants. Always a very rewarding experience. We departed the school and headed for dinner at George’s Steak House. Since we arrived early for our 6:45pm reservation, we hung out in the piano bar, listening to music and enjoying various libations. Finally, seated in George’s back room. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner and time with our cohorts to discuss the event any anything else that came to mind. All had a great time and are looking forward to next year.

September 25 Appleton North Homecoming Parade
We had really nice weather and fifteen Vettes participated in the parade. We were supposed to be transporting 8 students from the Homecoming Court, but only 6 showed up. We were number 4 in the line up out of a total of 34 entries. Lots of people on the route and very receptive to our group. There was a lot of positive feedback and thanks for us participating. After the parade, we went down the road about a mile and had dinner at the Stoneyard Sports Bar. Thanks to everyone who participated in the parade.

September 21 Oconto Fly In & Car Show
We left Seymour at 8:30am on a beautiful sunny Saturday morning. We had
11 cars lead by Jack up to Oconto taking many back roads. Got to car show in
time for opening ceremony which honored a local veteran which was very nice.
Was several fun things to do during the day Jerry and Diane Blessing
received a nice trophy for their car and one lucky lady from the club won
$413 on the 50-50 raffle. At the end of the day Dave and Debbie lead us to
dinner at Luigi’s. A big thank you to all who joined us.

September 19 Breakfast
Fifteen members met for breakfast at the Old Glory Cafe' in Kimberly. Again owner Matt waited on the entire group, (except for a few coffee pot checks). We enjoyed the private room, camaraderie, and the food. A Happy 54th Anniversary was wished to Marty and TerryLee
September 14 Club Birthday Party
Over forty members joined us to celebrate the 41st birthday of the club on Saturday. It was a beautiful late summer afternoon(low 80's with a slight breeze). The main course was a 60 pound roast pig and fried chicken. Plenty of sides and desserts brought by members made sure everyone went away satisfied. There were door prizes, wine tasting, birthday cake and just a lot of good conversation between new and old friends. We'd like to thank everyone who helped Jerry set up and tear down, Sue for helping with door prizes, Marty for providing music and Dave and Cliff for slicing the pig.
